What is "Frosting"? Frosting occurs with soy based waxes. It gives a slight frosted appearance to the surface or sides of a soy candle. It is a natural occurrence due to the crystalline structure of the soy wax. Unfortunately there isn't really anything that can be done to stop it. It will not affect the way the candle burns or smells.
Why is my soy candle a bit lumpy on the surface after burning? This is a natural occurrence of soy wax. It means that the candle is 100% soy without any additions of paraffin or toxic additives.
How long should I burn my candle? It's best to burn your candle for no longer than 4 hours at a time so that the wax melts evenly across the top. Always trim the wick to 1/4" before lighting it again. This keeps the flame low and even for a proper burn.
